The Montreal Impact has come flying out of the gates as the only team to have won all of its matches thus far in 2013.

The team sits first in the entire league, earning a full 12 points out of its first four games of the season.

This is just the 7th time a team starts the season with four victories in MLS history, with four other teams having reached the feat: Sporting Kansas City (2012), Real Salt Lake (2011), Los Angeles Galaxy (2010, 1998, 1996) and D.C. United (1997).

Last season, the Impact had to wait until May to earn its 12th point, in its 11th game of the campaign, tying the LA Galaxy at Olympic Stadium on May 12 and waited until June to pick up its 4th victory, a 4-1 win over the Seattle Sounders to open Stade Saputo, in the team’s 14th game of the season.

Historically, in its previous 19 seasons, the team has gone 4-0 to start the season only two times: in 1995 (4-0) and in 1998 (7-0).
