Moments of 2012 - First ever game in Major League Soccer

Moments 2012 First MLS game EN

One of the biggest day of the 2012 season, March 10 in Vancouver, the Impact’s first game ever in Major League Soccer fell down the ladder a little bit in terms of memorable moments as the result didn’t really go in the club’s favour.

The tension in the locker room was palpable before the game as you can see on the players’ faces that they knew they would forever be entrenched in the club’s history after the game.

However, an early goal set the tone for what would be a difficult match.

Playing at BC Place, the Impact opened the latest chapter of its history with a 2-0 loss to Canadian rivals the Vancouver Whitecaps FC in front of a sellout crowd of 21,000 spectators. Wingers Sébastien Le Toux (4th minute) and Camilo (54th minute) scored for the Whitecaps.
