Impact supporters will remember a very successful month of August in MLS action as their team managed five consecutive wins to jump into the playoff race.

From July 28 through to the end of August, the Impact rattled off five impressive victories, including four at Stade Saputo: 3-1 over the New York Red Bulls (July 28); 2-0 against the Philadelphia Union (August 4); 3-1 over Supporters Shield winners San Jose Earthquakes (August 18); and a 3-0 shutout of D.C. United (August 25). Smack dab in the middle was the team’s second and final road win of the season against the New England Revolution – a 1-0 shutout victory on August 12.

Patrice Bernier was named the MLS Player of the Month for August over that stretch. The native of Brossard, scored three goals and added three assists in four games, playing every minute of every match over that span.
