Impact Academy tryouts

Impact U21 vs North York Astros

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Wednesday that the club will organize two days of tryouts for its U21 team, as well as its U18 side, on October 6 and 7, in Montreal.

Players born between 1992 and 1996, who wish to join the Montreal Impact, will have the opportunity to show the technical staff their skills during a 90 minute training session, at the Marie-Victorin Sports Complex. The players selected for the second round of tryouts will return the next day, at the Saint-Jean-Vianney Sports Complex.

“It is always important to keep the door open to new talent that we might not have seen yet and give the opportunity to players to show us that they have the skills to play at a higher level,” said Montreal Impact Academy director Philippe Eullaffroy.

Registration can be done online at AcademieImpactMontreal.com, by clicking on the recruitment tab. Registration fees are $45.

The Impact U21 plays in the Canadian Soccer League, while the U18 team made its debut in the US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA), last Saturday.

On June 5, an important moment in the history of the Academy took place when defender Karl W. Ouimette became the first player ever to sign a pro contract in MLS with the first team.

SPORT-ÉTUDES TRYOUTS

The Montreal Impact sport-études tryouts, for players born between 1997 and 2001, are set for the first week of January, 2013, at the Marie-Victorin Sports Complex. Registration begins on September 18 online at AcademieImpactMontreal.com. Registration fees are also $45.
