Public practices BMO adidas Oasis

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced on Thursday the 2012 schedule for its public practice sessions, presented by BMO in collaboration with adidas and OASIS. Throughout the summer, the Impact will take part in four public practices in the greater Montreal region. Admission is free.

The Impact will begin its tour at Parc Horizon, in Repentigny, this Monday, July 30, at 6pm. It will be followed by visits at Parc Rosanne-Laflamme, in Longueuil, on Monday, August 6, at 6pm, then at Parc Ensoleillé, in McMasterville, on Sunday, August 19, at 10am, and finally, at Centre de Soccer Multifonctionnel, in Terrebonne, on Tuesday, September 4, at 6pm.

The whole MLS team, including Designated Player Marco Di Vaio, defender Alessandro Nesta, captain Davy Arnaud, Quebec midfielder Patrice Bernier, head coach Jesse Marsch and his staff, as well as the club mascot Tac-Tik will be on site for these events.

“The public practices have become a tradition over the years. Even though the Impact now plays in the major leagues, we want to remain accessible to our fans,” said Impact executive vice-president Richard Legendre. “It is also important that sports fans in Montreal get to know our players and discover our team.”

Third edition in Repentigny this Monday

The Impact will travel to a public practice in Repentigny for the third time in its history. The Lanaudière Centre soccer club, organizers of the event, expect more than 3,000 people in attendance to welcome the club.

Activities begin at 6pm and the players will hit the pitch at 7pm (ET). On the program: skills games, door prizes, music, animation and mascots. Around 8:15pm, supporters will be privy to an autograph session on the field.
