2012 Amway Canadian Championship returns to Rogers Sportsnet

The Canadian Soccer Association is pleased to announce that Rogers Sportsnet will once again be the national broadcast partner of the 2012 Amway Canadian Championship. All six matches featuring the Montreal Impact, Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC and FC Edmonton will be broadcast live on Rogers Sportsnet over four Wednesday nights, from 2 to 23 May 2012.


TVA Sports will also broadcast the Impact games during the tournament.


In its fifth year, the Amway Canadian Championship (previously known as the Nutrilite Canadian Championship) is Canada's professional club championship. The champion of the tournament advances to the confederation championship, the 24-team CONCACAF Champions League.


The 2012 Amway Canadian Championship will open on Wednesday 2 May with the Montreal Impact hosting Toronto FC at Olympic Stadium at 8pm (ET) and FC Edmonton hosting the Vancouver Whitecaps FC at Commonwealth Stadium at 8pm (ET).


The semi-final stage of the Championship will resume one week later on Wednesday 9 May at 8pm (ET). The first and second leg of the Championship Final will be played on 16 May and 23 May.
