Evan Bush named NASL Player of the Week

Bush distinguished himself Saturday at Saputo Stadium, in a 0-0 tie against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers. He recorded his first shutout of the season, after stopping seven shots during the game.

“It’s an honour for me to earn this title,” said Bush. “It's good to get the clean sheet, but I would have preferred to get it in a win, because the result of the game is the most important thing. I feel better with this team every day and my level of confidence is better, on and off the field. Now the focus is only to get the three points in Edmonton.”

The team will visit FC Edmonton on Sunday, June 26 at 6pm (Eastern time), before playing its next home game at Saputo Stadium against the Puerto Rico Islanders, on June 29, at 7:30pm (Radio-Canada, CKAC Sports, THE TEAM 990, radio-canada.ca/sports). Tickets for this game are still available through Admission Network (admission.com / 514-790-1245) or at Saputo Stadium’s ticketing office.

Meanwhile, the Impact will take part to its second of six public practices, presented by Suzuki, in collaboration with Sports Experts, this Tuesday at Parc Pierre-Laporte, in St-Hubert at 7pm. Players, coaches and team mascot Tac-Tik will be on site.

Also, the Reno-Depot summer camps of the Impact soccer schools will kick off at Saputo stadium in a few days. Places are still available for one of the three weeks. Please call at 514-328-3668 or visit edsimpactmontreal.com to register.
