Defender Kevin Hatchi is released

“We looked thoroughly at the situation before taking this decision,” said Impact sporting director Nick De Santis. “Kevin Hatchi had certain qualities, but he didn’t fit in the group. We took this decision for the well-being of the team. All our players need to walk in the same direction, especially when the team is going through difficult times.”

Hatchi had joined the Impact on February 10, after taking part to the invitational tryout camp. The rookie player started eight games this season and scored one goal.

The Impact will play its next game against the Fort Lauderdale Strikers this Saturday, at 2:30pm at Saputo Stadium. Tickets for this game are still available through Admission Network (admission.com / 514-790-1245) or at Saputo Stadium’s ticketing office.
