PROFESSIONAL
2015: Acquired from Toronto FC by FC Dallas on January 21 in exchange for allocation money… Played eight games with FC Dallas, including two starts, recording his first career assist on June 19 in a 1-1 tie in Colorado... Acquired by the Impact on July 16 from FC Dallas in exchange for defender Bakary Soumare… Played three regular season games with the Impact, including two starts, scoring his first career MLS goal on September 16 in San Jose… Selected once as the Videotron Mobile Player of the Game…  Appeared in the Knockout Round game against Toronto in the MLS Cup Playoffs… Also started one game with FC Montreal, in the USL.

2014: Made 20 appearances in his second season with Toronto FC, including 13 starts and 1,117 minutes of play… Played four Amway Canadian Championship games, including three starts.

2013: Signed as a Generation adidas member on January 7… Drafted in the first round by Toronto FC, third overall, in the 2013 MLS SuperDraft, on January 17… Played nine regular season games, including three starts, in his first MLS season… Made his debut on March 2 in Vancouver… Started two Amway Canadian Championship games… Also scored two goals in seven MLS Reserve League games. 

INTERNATIONAL
Played 17 games with the Canadian National Team, including 10 starts, participating in the 2013 and 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup… Recorded his first career assist on March 27, 2015, in a 1-0 win against Guatemala… Made his debut with the Reds on January 26, 2013, against Denmark… Also represented Canada with the U23 team in 2012.

COLLEGE
Played four years at Boston College between 2009 and 2012, scoring 17 goals and adding 22 assists, second in school history, in 80 career games… Named to All-Atlantic Coast Conference in 2011 and 2012 and to the ACC's All-Freshman team in 2009.

YOUTH
Played his youth soccer with the Oakville Bluestars, winning the Ontario Cup twice (2004 and 2005) along with the national title in 2004… Joined the Mississauga Dixie Dominators in 2006 and won back-to-back Ontario Cups in 2006 and 2007, adding another national title in 2006… Moved onto the Sigma Elite Training Centre program prior to his collegiate career… Earned an invitation to train with AFC Ajax youth academy in 2008.

Son of Peter and Debbie Bekker… His father was born in Montreal and his mother in Westminster, British-Columbia… Has one brother, Lee, and one sister, Katie.
