2014: Finished first on the Impact with eight assists in 23 regular season games, including 20 starts, and 1,726 minutes… Reached 20,000 career minutes in MLS on October 5 in Chicago… Selected once to the MLSSoccer.com Team of the Week and five times as the Videotron Player of the Game… Helped the team win a second consecutive Canadian championship, receiving the George Cross Memorial Trophy for a second time in as many years, given to the Amway Canadian Championship Most Valuable Player, after registering one goal and two assists in three starts… Started one game during the group stage of the CONCACAF Champions League.

2012: In his first season with the Impact, played 27 games, including 21 as a starter, scoring twice and adding five assists in 1,641 minutes… Played in one Amway Canadian Championship game and started one MLS Reserve League… Also played in international matches against Olympique Lyonnais, Bologna FC, ACF Fiorentina and its Primavera… Re-signed with the Impact on December 12.
2011: Scored three goals and registered four assists in 29 games, including 24 starts, with the Philadelphia Union… Also played two playoff games… Selected by the Impact in the 2011 MLS Expansion Draft, on November 23.
2010: Recorded one assist in 10 games with Chicago before being acquired by the Philadelphia Union on July 26 in exchange for allocation money… Started 10 of his 15 games with the Union, scoring one goal while adding four assists.
2009: Started 11 of 21 games, scoring one goal with three assists… Appeared in one U.S. Open Cup game and three SuperLiga games.
2008: One of two players to appear in every MLS game for the Fire, playing 30 games, including 26 starts while recording 2,229 minutes…Scored two goals and added eight assists, tied for second most on the Fire…Signed a contract extension with the Fire on September 6…Started both semifinal series matches during MLS playoffs… Played two U.S. Open Cup games.
2007: Played in 13 games, starting 10 with Chicago… Missed time at mid-season when called to train with the U.S. Men's National team for CONCACAF Gold Cup and CONMEBOL Copa America… Played one playoff game and one U.S. Open Cup game.
2006: Ended the season with two goals and eight assists in 26 appearances, including 22 starts… Finished second on the team for most assists and 10th in the league… Became the youngest player in MLS history to play in 100 games on September 23 against Los Angeles, at 21 years and 340 days… Played in two MLS playoff games… Helped Chicago win its fourth Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, registering one goal and one assist in two starts.
2005: Finished the season with three goals and eight assists in 29 matches, including 28 starts… Named one of three finalists for the Kraft Global Fair Play Award, given to the player who most exemplifies fair play and sportsmanship on the field during regular season… Led the team in games played, games started, minutes played (2,356) and assists and ranked second in shots (48)… Played 45 minutes for the MLS Select Team in the Trofeo Santiago Bernabeu contest at Real Madrid in August… Played the first game of the Eastern Conference Semifinal but missed the away leg with a hamstring injury… Played in three U.S. Open Cup games, tallying one assist in 277 minutes of play.
2004: Started 19 of 24 regular season games, registering three goals and four assists… Missed the final six weeks of the campaign with a knee injury… Made two starts in the Fire's four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games, registering 197 minutes… Played in all four contests during the Fire's semi-final run in the CONCACAF Champions Cup, earning two starts and scoring one goal in the competition.
2003: Acquired in a trade by the Chicago Fire before the season… Scored three goals and three assists in 21 games, including 18 starts… Helped Chicago to its first Supporters Shield and then played three playoffs games, registering one assist… Also appeared in one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup game, winning the title with the Fire.
2002: Signed with MLS as a Project-40 player and was selected in the first round, fourth overall, by D.C. United in the 2002 MLS SuperDraft… Played in three games, all as substitute, totalling 28 minutes… Became, at 17, the fifth-youngest player in MLS history when he made his MLS debut on July 24 against Columbus.
Has made eight appearances for the U.S. National Team, earning his first cap on October 12, 2005 against Panama… Played in all three games for the U.S. in the 2007 Copa America, starting against Lionel Messi and Argentina as well as Colombia and coming on as a substitute against Paraguay… Also represented the U.S. at the U20 and U17 levels.
Played with Northwest Rankin High School before leaving for the U.S. residency program at IMG Soccer Academy, in Florida, in December 2000.
Son of David and Janet Mapp… Has a brother, Chris… His cousin Wally played college soccer for Florida International University, and is now coaching with the Texas A&M women’s soccer club… Favourite player is Gareth Bale and favourite team is Arsenal.
