Amway Canadian Championship: 2014

PROFESSIONAL
2014: Made his pro debut with the first team on May 7, in Edmonton, in the semifinal of the Amway Canadian Championship… Became the sixth Academy player to sign a professional contract with the club in MLS on July 3, after training with the first team since the start of the 2014 campaign… Made his MLS debut on July 24 at Real Salt Lake… Played in two CONCACAF Champions League games, including one start… Also played in four MLS Reserve League games as well as six games with the Impact U23 in the USL PDL.

ACADEMY
Joined the Impact Academy in 2011, succesively graduating from the club’s U18, U21 and U23 teams.

INTERNATIONAL
Has played five friendly games with the Canadian men’s national team, making his debut on September 8, 2013, against Mauritania, in Valencia, Spain… Then played two friendly matches against Bulgaria and Moldavia, in May 2014 in Austria… Also took part in the U20 men’s national team camp in preparation for the U20 CONCACAF championships in May... Donned the Canadian jersey at the U16 and U18 levels.

YOUTH
Played his minor soccer with Magog from 2001 to 2007 and with the Sherbrooke Verts from 2008 to 2011… Played on a number of regional and provincial teams, as well as other programs with the Quebec Soccer Federation.

PERSONAL
Son of André Gagnon and Judith Laparé… Has one sister, Marike… Earned Impact bursaries in 2011 and a Saputo bursary with the Quebec Foundation for Athletic Excellence in 2013... He is bilingual.
