PROFESSIONAL
2016: Acquired by the Impact on February 13 from the Chicago Fire, in exchange for general and targeted allocation money.

2015: Led the Fire with eight assists in 33 regular season games, and finished tied for first with 29 games played and second with 2,571 minutes of play… Scored three goals, including two game-winning goals… Played in the 2015 MLS Homegrown Game, on July 28 against Club America U20 team, at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, in Colorado… Also started four Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games.
 
2014: Signed as a Homegrown Player by the Chicago Fire on January 9… Finalist for MLS Rookie of the Year after leading the Fire with six assists and finishing second on the team with seven goals in 33 games, including 29 starts and 2.346 minutes played… Recorded his first career assist on March 23 against the New York Red Bulls… Scored his first career goal and his first hat trick on May 10 against New York at Red Bull Arena… Also started one Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup game. 

AMATEUR
2012 : Played with Chicago Fire Premier in the PDL, appearing in two Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup games.

ACADEMY
Joined the Chicago Fire Academy in 2009, playing with the U18 team.

YOUTH
Part of the Chicago Wind and Chicago Magic soccer clubs.

COLLEGE
Played four years with the Notre-Dame Fighting Irish between 2010 and 2013, captaining his team to its first NCAA College Cup in 2013, after recording 23 goals and 24 assists in 84 career games… A finalist for the Mac-Hermann Trophy, awarded to the top male college player… Also named the 2013 ACC Offensive Player of the Year and earned All-ACC First Team honors.

YOUTH
Played with Region II ODP Team  and the Illinois State ODP Team from 2005 to 2007, winning regional and national championships in 2007. 

PERSONAL
Son of Terry and Kathleen Shipp... Has one brother, Michael, who also played for Notre Dame… Has two sisters, Samantha and Abigail… Majored in finance and was named to the Dean's List five times… Enjoys cooking and golfing.
