MONTREAL, Quebec - Defender Aron Mkungilwa, of the Montreal Impact U16 team, has been selected to play with the U17 Canadian National Team in the 2012 U17 AGS Cup in Spain.

The Canadian team will spend 17 days together from September 27 to October 13, with opening group matches against Morocco, Mexico and Russia. Other teams participating in the 2012 tournament are Azerbaijan, Georgia, United Arab Emirates and USA.

The AGS Cup is a lead up to the 2013 CONCACAF Men's Under-17 Championship from April 6 to 19 in Ciudad Panama, where only four teams from CONCACAF will qualify for the FIFA U-17 World Cup UAE 2013.

Mkungilwa has started all three of the Impact U16 matches this season, the club’s inaugural campaign in the US Soccer Development Academy (USSDA), helping his side to a three-way tie atop of the Eastern Division with a 2-1-0 record.
