Following his solid performance against Toronto and a Goal of the week nomination, forward Marco Di Vaio has been named league's best player for week 3, according to the Castrol Index.
Not only did Di Vaio score the winning goal, but all of his five shots were on target throughout the 90 minutes he played, which is good for a total of 1,359 points on the Castrol scale.

The Impact's first Designated Player Marco Di Vaio took part in his first training session with the team this morning at Claude-Robillard Sports Complex. The Italian striker met his new teammates before going through Jesse Marsch's drills. Di Vaio should be playing his first game with the Impact on June 27, against Toronto FC.
