Every supporter has his own way to help the team. Whether it's chanting for the full 90 minutes or following the same pregame ritual for many years, every gesture counts.
The "Behind every player" series focuses on six Impact season ticketholders and supporters who tell us their own story from the stands of Stade Saputo: Alain, Christine, Richard, Steven, Graziano and Vanessa.
Each one of them has a different story, a precise way to see the game and a specific experience on gameday, but they all share the same love for the Montreal Impact and the 11 men on the pitch.
Graziano Pardo and Vanessa Furino
"Section 132 is by far the best section to be in, it's really good for the atmosphere." "I love the Ultras," said Vanessa. "It reminds of the atmosphere that we see in European stadiums."
"There's nothing like being at the stadium. I have a sense of belonging with this team because it's from my city and it's important to support my local club."
Alain Mercier and Christine Campeau
"The Ultras are the ones setting the atmosphere in the stadium, they lift the crowd. We watch the game but sometimes we like to take a look at their section to see what they're doing."
"When you live in Montreal, you support your city, the Canadiens, the Alouettes. You get involved. It means a lot. There's a connection. When I sit at my seat, I get involved. I feel like I'm part of the team."
