WITH THE IMPACT...
Was a member of the Impact’s inaugural edition, in 1993... Was part of the
team’s starting eleven when the Impact beat the Colorado Foxes 1-0 in the
playoff final and won the 1994 league championship... Also helped Montreal win
the regular-season titles in 1995 (17-7 record), 1996 (21-6) and 1997 (21-7)...
Was the club’s leading scorer in 1996, tied with Eddy Berdusco... Was the
team’s second-leading scorer in 1994, 1995 and 1997... Was picked on the
league’s first all-star team in 1995, in addition to winning the Giuseppe
Saputo Trophy, awarded to the Impact’s Team MVP... Suffered a serious neck
injury that came close to leaving him paralyzed in the spring of 1998, playing
indoor soccer with the Edmonton Drillers... Missed the entire 1998 outdoor
season... Gave new impetus to his career when he moved from the forward
position to that of defender... When he retired as a player following the 2004
season, was third in Impact history for games played (190), as well as second
for goals scored (34), game-winning goals (15) and points (99)... Also played
for the Impact indoors in the NPSL...
...AND ELSEWHERE
Started out in the pro ranks in 1988 with the Canadian Soccer League’s Ottawa
Intrepid... Was crowned Jamaican national champion in 1994 with Harbour View
FC... Played 18 games with the Jamaican national team... Also played for the
Toronto Lynx in the USL, in 1999 and 2000...
A NEW CAREER
Was assistant coach with the Impact in 2005, helping the team win the
regular-season title... Is now Director of the Impact’s Réno-Dépôt Soccer
Schools and the club’s Head of Youth Development...
