PRESS RELEASE: October 14, 2009

MONTREAL – The Montreal Impact announced Wednesday that the decisive match of the USL-1 championship final against the Vancouver Whitecaps, which will be played Saturday at 2:30 pm at Saputo Stadium, is sold out, all 13,034 tickets having been purchased. “With a couple of days remaining to this historic matchup at Saputo Stadium, we are thrilled by the enthusiasm shown by our supporters for this championship final, a first all-Canadian final,” declared Montreal Impact Executive Vice President Richard Legendre. “It’s a very special occasion to be able to play this decisive match in front of our fans. The atmosphere is going to be extraordinary.”

The match will be broadcast live on Radio-Canada Television and will be preceded by a pre-game show, starting at 2 pm. The Impact invites all soccer enthusiasts and Impact fans to follow the action in one of the 47 Cage aux Sports across Quebec.

The game will also be presented live on the radio on CKAC Sports and THE TEAM 990, and on TV on FOX Sports World.
